The husband’s transition caused no problems with retaining coverage and everyone in the office is respectful of what now appears to be a same-sex couple. St, Mary’s 210-738-0099 An LGBT family-friendly restaurant and bar. Quiet, relaxing, great food at reasonable prices. Get to know Mark, Leo, and Sylvia. Take your meal at a table or couch in the main room or dine on the patio. Grab a board game to play while enjoying drinks. Even LGBT-accepting straight folks and families go there for the ambiance and the food. Luthers Cafe Located on North Main Street in the gay bar district, this eating establishment is open to the street and provides a non-threatening athmosphere for those hesitant to venture into this area. Indeed, you will often find local families with their children eating there. All are welcome. The food is good. Karioke is usually available in the evenings. Many of the waiter staff are also drag queens at the clubs and they put on a show most Monday nights. It is hard to see from Wurzbach. Allow extra time to find the building the first time you visit. It is easiest to find by driving behind the Kwik Kar Lube shop. Darrel is quite familiar with LGBT issues. He is also President of the newly-formed GLBT Chamber of Commerce.
