San Antonio Gender Association
Welcome: You are the
visitor to the site.
About SAGA:
SAGA has in the past been primarily a social group. But since 2009 we have a charter, a member list, elected officers, and committee
chairs
Our meeting place is provided through the generosity of MCC Church.
If you are just coming out, starting to express yourself in your true gender, this is a safe place to meet others who have gone before you.
You may come dressed any way you feel comfortable. You may even change clothes in the safety of the church hall and change back
again at the conclusion of the meeting.
It is important for you to know, you are not alone in the world being transgender. You can meet other people who understand and have
dealt with this successfully. We can help you by referring you to professionals who have helped us.

WHY I TRANSITIONED
I stand in the wholeness of self-love and acceptance; no longer hating those parts of myself that use to wage war with each other, for those parts now stand in agreement and face the same direction. I now move forward with purpose, potential and power.

NOTICE: As of September 2010, this site is splitting into two sister sites. SAGENDER.ORG will continue to be the official
website of the San Antonio Gender Association. It will undergo some exciting changes under the guidance of the SAGA
Communications Committee. That committee has already introduced the use of new social media to communicate with the
transgender community with a FaceBook page, a Twitter account and a Skype telephone.
Webmistress Julia will host a new site called SAGENDER.info that will be something she has always wanted to do. It will be a guide
for male to female transsexual transition, with emphasis on the resources available in San Antonio, Texas. It will attempt to address
all the issues that confront MtF as we try to adjust to living in society in our true gender and cast off the mask of maleness that we
were compelled to wear because of how a certain part of our bodies were formed.
.
This split recognizes the wonderful growth of SAGA in recent years, the shift in its membership to a younger demographic
familiar with the latest technologies, and the desire of talented individuals to contribute to transgender education and awareness.
Please be a visitor to both sites and help support the San Antonio Gender Association in any way you can.
